PKF O’Connor Davies Announces Promotion of 7 New Partners and 2 New Principals

New York, NY (January 17, 2019) – PKF O’Connor Davies, LLP, the nation’s 29th largest accounting and advisory firm, announced today it has promoted seven employees to the role of Partner and two to the role of Principal. Benjamin Beskovic, Scott Brown, Scott Edison, Julia Eisenhaur, Jason Fastiggi, Samantha Paris and Victor Peña were named Partners. Anan Samara and Julie Williams will serve as Principals at the Firm. The promotions demonstrate the Firm’s ongoing focus on nurturing the next level of leaders as it continues to expand in key service areas and geographies.

Benjamin Beskovic, CPA, has more than 10 years of federal, state and international income tax experience. Based in the Firm’s New York City office, his clients include multi-national firms, high-net-worth individuals and privately held companies. Beskovic serves as an instructor in the Firm’s tax continuing professional education program. He will serve as a Tax Partner in the Firm’s Financial Services division.

Scott Brown, CPA, has spent 11 years with the Firm. Based in Cranford, NJ, Brown specializes in not-for-profit organizations, including private foundations, independent schools, arts and cultural organizations and membership organizations. He services clients out of the Firm’s Cranford, NJ and New York City offices and performs duties in the areas of audit- and tax-related engagements. Brown is an active lecturer for Firm sponsored continuing professional education courses and frequently speaks at outside organizations and associations. He will serve as Partner in the Firm’s Not-for-Profit division.

Scott Edison, CPA, brings over 20 years of experience focusing on providing business consulting and advisory services, individual, partnership and corporate tax planning and accounting for privately held and family-owned businesses. Based in the Firm’s Cranford, N.J., office, Edison specializes in serving closely held businesses including medical and dental practices, professional services, retail, consulting, real estate and distribution. Edison is also a member of the Board of Trustees of Temple Shaari Emeth in Manalapan, New Jersey. He will be a Partner in the Firm’s Business Solutions group.

Julia Eisenhaur, CPA, has over 20 years of industry experience and has developed expertise in many areas of accounting and consulting. Based in the Wethersfield, CT, office, she works with numerous not-for-profit organizations, including voluntary health and welfare organizations, health care organizations and affordable housing. Prior to joining PKF O’Connor Davies, Eisenhaur was a manager at a mid-sized accounting firm in Connecticut, a small business owner and a supervisor with a “Big Four” accounting firm in Hartford. She will serve as Partner in the Firm’s Not-for-Profit division. Eisenhaur serves on the Firm’s Diversity and Inclusion Council and serves on several not-for-profit entity boards.

Jason (Jay) Fastiggi, CPA, has over 18 years of industry experience in financial services, previously working as the Vice President of a multibillion dollar investment advisor. Based in the Firm’s New York City office, he has served a diverse mix of clients, including hedge funds, private equity funds, real estate funds, venture capital funds, private foundations and other alternative investment vehicles. He will serve as a Partner in the Firm’s Financial Services division.

Samantha Paris, CPA, has spent over 17 years working in the world of small business accounting and taxation. Based in the Firm’s Woodcliff Lakes, N.J., office, Paris’ expertise spans a range of small business accounting, tax services, financial statement preparation and audits of private companies. Beyond her role with the Firm, Paris is the Vice President of the Kearny Board of Education and a Girl Scout Leader in her hometown of Kearny, NJ. She will be a Partner in the Firm’s Business Solutions group.

Victor M. Peña, CPA, brings over 10 years of public accounting experience to his new role as Partner in the Financial Services division. Working from the Firm’s New York City office, he focuses on alternative investments and financial services clients including broker-dealers, clearing and non-clearing, commodities brokers, asset managers, hedge funds, private equity funds, master-feeder funds and management companies. Peña is also actively involved in the Firm’s Financial Services division initiatives, including the group’s staffing, training, and recruiting efforts.  

Anan Samara, Enrolled Agent, has over 18 years of public accounting experience providing audit and tax services to private foundations, arts and educational organizations and other not-for-profits. He will serve as Principal in the Firm’s Private Foundation Services group based in New York City. Samara serves on the Firm’s Diversity and Inclusion Council and is a frequent instructor in the Firm’s continuing professional education program.

Julie A. Williams, Masters of Public Health, brings more than 25 years of experience focused primarily on medical and dental practice consulting and advisory services, including tax, accounting and financial reporting for individuals and privately held businesses. Williams currently serves on the New York State Society Health Care Committee. Based in the Firm’s Newburgh office, Williams will serve as Principal in the Firm’s Business Solutions group.
