James P. O’Connor is a Principal at PKF O’Connor Davies and has over 27 years of experience in the accounting industry. His practice primarily involves federal and state tax research/planning, tax audits/appeals, trust and estate tax matters, and estate/succession planning.
Jim began his professional career as a Revenue Agent with the Internal Revenue Service in 1981. After graduating from Brooklyn Law School, he worked for law firms in Garden City and New York City, practicing primarily in the areas of taxation, bankruptcy, real estate and trusts/estates.
Jim is a member of the New York State and Suffolk County Bar Associations, the United States District Courts/Bankruptcy Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the United States Tax Court. He is currently the Chairman of the Suffolk County Bar Association’s Tax Committee, past President of the Nassau County Estate Planning Council, and a Director and Finance Committee Chair of the St. Vincent De Paul Society of the Diocese of Rockville Centre.
