Bhakti Shah has more than 15 years of experience in public accounting with a strong focus on trusts and estates. She provides tax advisory, planning and compliance services to clients nationally and internationally. Bhakti’s versatility and expertise in both financial and legal aspects of trust and estate planning provide a unique advantage to clients, from individuals to institutional fiduciaries, as she delivers end-to-end tax guidance and support.

Bhakti also works with high-net-worth individuals on complex tax mitigation strategies, retirement planning and charitable giving. She helps her clients plan for the transfer of their assets through lifetime gifting techniques tailored to their long-term financial and family goals. Her experience includes generation-skipping transfer tax matters, living trusts, life insurance trusts, personal residence trusts, charitable trusts, supplemental needs trusts, qualified sub-chapter S trusts and electing small business trusts.

Skilled in performing due diligence and analysis, Bhakti develops and executes strategies that help support her clients’ best interests. Her collaborative approach fosters strong client relationships as she aligns her expertise with their goals.

Prior to joining PKF O’Connor Davies, Bhakti served as Senior Vice President and Head of Tax at Beacon Trust and for two of the “Big Four” accounting firms.
