Emily Berger is a Director in the PKF O’Connor Davies Financial Services group, specializing in developing customized risk-informed solutions for private foundations, family offices, registered investment advisors and corporate clients. She has 30 years of risk management experience across both the buy and sell sides of the financial industry, including risk assessment of alternative funds and managers.

Since joining the Firm, Emily has worked on numerous assignments, including:

  • Developing carbon measurement templates and analytical methodology for sustainability reporting and the attest team.
  • Consulting a large professional services firm on carbon calculations and application of governing carbon standards.
  • Creating individual fund and OCIO due diligence frameworks.
  • Advising registered investment advisors and family office clients on the best practices in cash operations and counterparty risk mitigation

Emily previously served as the Director of Risk and Operations at the Rockefeller Foundation, where she was a senior member of the Investment team and responsible for overseeing the activities of the Investments Office. From 2003 to 2011, Emily was a Senior Counterparty Credit Officer at JPMorgan where she was responsible for the credit, market, operational and legal risk management of a portfolio of hedge and private equity funds. She also held similar roles at Commerzbank and Bankers Trust. As a Loan Portfolio Strategist at Deutsche Bank, she was responsible for developing and implementing an industry leading economic capital model. Emily completed the Management Training Program at Chemical Bank, where she was a Relationship Manager focused on ultra-high net worth families.
