Kathleen Bixler has more than 20 years of experience serving employee benefits plans. Her work includes supervising retirement plan audits and assisting plan sponsors with financial reporting matters.
Each year, she serves as an audit supervisor on more than 50 employee benefit plans, including pension, 403(b) and 401(k) plans. Her work involves reviewing plan financial statements, assessing internal controls and examining contributions, distributions and participant data. She also works with plan sponsors and engagement teams to address accounting and reporting matters that arise during the audit process.
In addition to her client responsibilities, Kathleen contributes to the organization’s Thought Leadership series, exploring practical considerations for plan sponsors and ways to strengthen retirement plans. She also helps prepare and present continuing professional education programs, sharing technical knowledge and perspectives with colleagues.
