Louis F. LiBrandi is a member of the organization’s Employee Benefit Services Group and has extensive experience advising on employee benefit plans and related matters. His background includes serving as a director in a law firm’s Compensation and Benefits Advisory Services Practice, a senior manager at a Big Four accounting firm and a revenue agent in the IRS Employee Plans Division.
Louis speaks annually on Form 5500 reporting to the U.S. Department of Labor and IRS, as well as other retirement plan topics, for the New York Chapter of the International Society of Certified Employee Benefit Specialists and other organizations. He provides guidance on qualification requirements for retirement plans, including 403(b) and 401(k) plans, nonqualified deferred compensation plans and certain welfare and cafeteria plan features. He represents plan sponsors under examination by the IRS and Department of Labor.
Louis is actively involved in a variety of professional and civic organizations. He earned the Tax-Exempt & Governmental Plan Consultant (TGPC) designation from ASPPA and the Certified Plan Sponsor Professional (CPSP) credential sponsored by the American Retirement Association.
