Mark J. Piszko has nearly 40 years of experience in providing auditing and consulting services to a wide variety of Not-for-Profit entities including charitable organizations, religious entities, educational and cultural institutions and social services agencies that receive government funding. He is the Partner-in-Charge of the Firm’s Not-for-Profit Practice Area and is the Firm’s Quality Assurance Partner for Single Audits.
In addition to attestation services, Mark’s client services include budget and financial statement analysis, review of consolidated fiscal reports, internal control reviews, management reporting, assistance to Boards and Audit Committees with organizational governance, performance of audits in accordance with government auditing standards and Uniform Guidance for Single Audits, and consultation on the New York Nonprofit Revitalization Act.
Mark is a member of the Firm’s Administrative Committee and past member of its Human Resources Committee. He is a frequent instructor at the Firm’s internal continuing professional education programs and a regular contributor to the Firm’s not-for-profit publication and other national publications including The NonProfit Times. As a member of the Not-for-Profit Organizations Committee of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, he served as the Chair or Co-Chair of the Society’s 2013 through 2016 Annual Nonprofit Conferences held in Rochester and New York City.
