Valerie M. Thwaites has nearly 10 years of experience providing accounting and auditing services to public-sector organizations, including municipalities, counties, school districts, county colleges, authorities and library commissions. She serves in the governmental services practice and works with clients subject to complex regulatory and compliance requirements.
Valerie has worked on engagements subject to the Single Audit Act, contract laws and other state and federal regulations. Her experience includes auditing grant activities related to county offices of social services and workforce development, along with managing engagements that involve multiple funding sources and reporting requirements.
Valerie has served as an instructor for in-house continuing professional education seminars focused on school district accounting and single audits. She is committed to professional development and actively supports the growth of staff and emerging professionals within the organization.
