For small businesses located in New York and New Jersey, there are still some pandemic funds available under certain conditions. If your business is eligible, these funds – if awarded to you – may go a long way to getting your business through rough times.
New York State COVID-19 Pandemic Small Business Recovery Grant Program
Awards range from $5,000 – $50,000.
Eligible businesses include small businesses, micro-businesses, and for-profit independent arts and cultural organizations (collectively, “Eligible Applicants”) and must be currently viable and have begun operation on or before March 1, 2019 and continue to be in operation as of the date of application.
Eligible applicants will be required to show loss of gross receipts as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic or compliance with COVID-19 health and safety protocols which resulted in business modifications, interruptions, or closures.

New Jersey Economic Development Authority Small Business Improvement Grant
This grant will reimburse a small business for 50 percent of total eligible project costs incurred after March 9, 2020, but no more than 2 years prior to the application date.
Will provide grants of up to $50,000 to New Jersey-based small businesses and nonprofits.
To qualify, your small business must rent or own and operate from the facility. Landlords are not eligible under this program.
The NJ Economic Development Authority will begin accepting applications at 10:00 a.m. EST on Thursday, February 10, 2022.
