PKF O’Connor Davies Announces New Committee Appointments and Promotions

New leadership roles deepen firm-wide growth and enhance tax practice expertise

PKF O’Connor Davies, LLP, one of the nation’s largest accounting, tax, and advisory firms, announced today several new appointments to its Executive Committee and Governance Committee, as well as a promotion in the Tax practice area. Victor Peña and Robert Cordero have been appointed to serve as associate members of the Executive Committee. Karen Taylor-Burke and Leo Parmegiani have been appointed to serve on the Governance Committee. Benjamin Beskovic has been promoted to Head of Tax in the Firm’s New York City office. These appointments and promotion reflect the Firm’s commitment to promoting from within and empowering new voices and leadership to thrive and help guide the direction of the Firm.

Peña is a Partner in the Firm’s Financial Services Group, where he specializes in alternative investments and serving a variety of financial services clients. Cordero serves as Partner and Leader of the Independent Schools practice. He also formerly served on the Firm’s Governance Committee before his recent appointment. As associate members of the Executive Committee, they will support Firm leadership in developing policies and strategies that help grow the Firm in key geographic areas and practice specialties as well as enhancing client service and company culture. Their terms expire on December 31, 2021.

Taylor-Burke is a Partner at the Firm with more than 25 years of experience serving clients in the not-for-profit and commercial sectors. Karen is Co-Chair of the Women’s Initiative Network, whose mission it is to attract, retain and advance the careers of women at PKF O’Connor Davies. In her role as a member of the Governance Committee, led by Thomas Blaney, she will assist with developing key decision-making protocols as well as making recommendations for committee appointments and other Firm leadership decisions.

Parmegiani has over 30 years of experience in public accounting. In addition to serving on the Governance Committee, Leo is the Partner-in-Charge of the Firm’s international Tax practice, a member of the Firm’s Tax Leadership Committee and is the international liaison for North American tax matters for PKF International. Leo is a frequent author and presenter on world-wide tax issues.

Beskovic has been with the Firm for more than 12 years, most recently serving as Tax Partner providing tax planning and consulting services to clients in a variety of industries. He will take on an expanded leadership role as Head of Tax in the Firm’s New York City office, where his expertise will be critical in growing this central practice area and enhancing client service.

PKF O’Connor Davies has 12 offices in five states and continues to expand through organic growth and acquisitions on the East Coast. It has supported this growth with a strategic combination of promoting from within coupled with tactical external hires.
