PKF O’Connor Davies’ Clare E. Cella Recognized in Crain’s New York Business’ 2021 ‘Notable Women in Accounting & Consulting’

Cella honored as trailblazer, praised as one of the ‘best of the industry’

PKF O’Connor Davies, LLP, one of the nation’s largest accounting, tax, and advisory firms, is proud to announce that Clare E. Cella, Office Partner-in-Charge of the Firm’s New York City location, has been named to Crain’s New York Business’ 2021 “Notable Women in Accounting & Consulting” cohort. Cella joins 66 other female professionals identified by Crain’s for their career triumphs, leadership expertise, and involvement in industry and community organizations. The program acknowledges the accomplishments of women in the accounting and consulting fields and recognizes their ongoing efforts to overcome gender barriers and achieve true parity in the workplace.

Cella brings more than 30 years of experience in public accounting to her role at the Firm. She currently focuses on providing accounting and auditing services for both private and publicly held hospitality, real estate, and commercial clients. An expert in all aspects of hospitality accounting and management, Cella advises clients on both US GAAP and income tax financial reporting matters, including internal control policies and procedures and operational issues. She also provides accounting and business consulting services to purchasers and sellers in both the hotel and real estate markets. Outside of her client-facing responsibilities, Cella serves on the Firm’s Administrative Committee, chairs the Firm’s Human Resources (HR) Committee, participates in staff recruitment and mentoring, and helps to organize the Executive Hospitality and Lodging and Private Club Executive Symposiums.

“Throughout my career, I have always enjoyed serving my clients, colleagues, and community,” said Cella. “I’m inspired by the female professionals I have the pleasure of working with on a daily basis, and I am honored to receive this recognition.”

Cella is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York and offers her expertise in service to a number of professional organizations. In addition to her membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), she is a member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA), the Past Chair of its Hospitality Committee, and a Former Member of its Committee for Diversity of the Profession. Cella belongs to the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA) and Hospitality Financial & Technology Professionals (HFTP). She serves as HFTP’s Treasurer, past President, a Member of the Board of Directors of its New York City Chapter, and a Member of its Mid-Jersey and Long Island Chapters. Cella holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Hofstra University.
