PKF O’Connor Davies Hires Steven J. Eller as Partner

Recognized expert brings over 30 years of experience in public accounting, real estate, manufacturing and closely-held family business services

PKF O’Connor Davies, LLP, one of the nation’s largest accounting, tax and advisory firms, announced today it has hired Steven J. Eller. Eller will serve as a Partner and co-head of the firm’s State and Local Tax practice specializing in preparation and fulfillment of regulations, and tax litigation. Eller will advise clients on issues related to residency, nexus and apportionment, sales and use taxes as well as payroll taxes focusing on strategic planning and compliance.

Eller has more than 30 years of experience in aiding individuals, businesses and estates and trusts with planning and compliance of federal, state and local tax regulations. In addition to being a certified public accountant (CPA) in both New York and New Jersey, Eller is a licensed attorney in the state of New Jersey and is admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court. Eller has lectured at financial organizations, conferences and educational institutions including Commerce Clearing House (CCH) and Foundation for Accounting Education.

Eller received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Delaware, and a Juris Doctor degree from the Widener University School of Law. He is a member and former chair of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA) New York, Multistate and Local Tax Committee and is the current Co-chair of the legislative subcommittee. He also belongs to both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and the New Jersey Society of Certified PublicAccountants (NJSCPA). Eller is also a contributor to The
Trusted Professional, the New York State Society of CPAs’ monthly publication and is frequently quoted on tax matters in several mainstream and trade publications including the New York Post, Accounting Today and the Daily Tax Report.
