Denisse Moderski has nearly 15 years of experience providing state and local tax advisory services to private equity firms, investment funds, closely held businesses and corporate taxpayers. She specializes in state and local income and franchise tax matters, helping clients navigate complex multistate tax issues and identify opportunities to improve tax efficiency.
Her expertise includes multistate tax planning, apportionment and sourcing, nexus, pass-through entity tax (PTET) planning, restructuring and state tax controversy matters. She advises clients on the state tax aspects of mergers, acquisitions and other business transactions, including tax due diligence, transaction structuring and post-transaction planning.
Denisse has been a leader in the development and growth of PTET advisory services, helping clients navigate the evolving PTET landscape and integrate PTET planning into broader multistate tax and transaction strategies that align with their overall tax objectives.
A frequent speaker and author on emerging state tax developments, Denisse works closely with clients across a variety of industries to manage risk, address complex tax challenges and support their business objectives.
