Thomas Lemon

Tom Lemon has nearly two decades of experience in public accounting, specializing in complex tax consulting for private equity firms, partnerships, corporations and high-net-worth individuals. Throughout his career, he has held leadership positions at a top national accounting firm, a private equity firm and a national valuation and advisory firm, earning a reputation for technical expertise and strategic leadership.

Tom’s areas of expertise include ASC 740, Subchapter K, partnership taxation, mergers and acquisitions, tax quality and risk management and business development. Most recently, he led a partnership tax consulting practice and advised clients on the tax implications of mergers and acquisitions, including ASC 805 purchase accounting matters. He also worked closely with the Disputes, Claims and Investigations practice, providing specialized tax guidance on matters involving Sec. 83(b) elections, divorce-related tax issues, receiverships and representations and warranties insurance claims.

Throughout his career, Tom has combined deep technical expertise with the ability to build and grow successful tax practices. As the Northeast leader of a Partnership Capital Account Maintenance specialty practice at a top national accounting firm, he helped clients navigate complex partnership tax matters while developing high-performing teams and innovative solutions. He also played a key role in expanding a tax practice from approximately $750,000 to nearly $3 million in annual revenue over five years, reflecting his commitment to delivering exceptional client service and driving strategic growth.
