Vic Peña is currently a Partner at PKF O’Connor Davies’ Financial Services Group, (the “Group”) and the Firm’s Broker Dealer Practice Leader with over fifteen years of public accounting experience. Vic has extensive experience in the alternative investments space and the financial services industry, including broker-dealers—clearing and non-clearing, introducing commodities brokers, asset managers, impact investment, hedge, private equity and VC funds, as well as registered investment advisors.
Vic also has diverse experience in other industries including Digital Assets, FinTech companies, and Sustainability, Impact assessments and ESG reporting. In addition, he oversees the Group’s audits of the investment portfolios for some of the Firm’s largest Private Foundation, Retirement Funds and Cemetery clients.
Vic is fluent in Spanish and is the Firm’s Latin American Desk Leader and serves as a liaison partner with other PKF member firms for international clients. In addition, Victor serves as an Advisor to the PKF LaTam Board.
As a leader in the Firm’s Outsourced CFO practice, Vic oversees several of the Firm’s outsourced accounting and CFO engagements for various global and domestic investment partnerships and advisors as well as operating and lending companies in Latin America. In addition, Vic runs the Group’s Surprise Custody Examinations pursuant to Rule 206(4)-2 of the Investment Advisors Act of 1940.
Vic’s leadership has included being an Associate Member of the Firm’s Executive Committee and is the Co-Chair of the Firm’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council where he has helped spearheaded many of the Firm’s initiatives. He is also an active lecturer in Firm sponsored education courses and authors and contributes to articles and bulletins for the Financial Services sector.
