PKF O’Connor Davies’ Andrea Mattera Named to Long Island Business News’ “Top 50 Women in Business”

Mattera honored for hands-on involvement in regional community, continued professional excellence

PKF O’Connor Davies, LLP, one of the nation’s largest accounting, tax, and advisory firms, is proud to announce that Andrea Mattera, a Partner in the Firm’s Hauppauge, New York, office, has been named one of the “Top 50 Women in Business” by Long Island Business News. The annual award recognizes those female professionals across Long Island who exhibit superior business acumen, a passion for mentoring and a commitment to community involvement. Mattera joins a collection of the most influential female leaders across the business, government, and nonprofit fields.

“Andrea’s longstanding involvement in her community is something to be celebrated, and this award just goes to show that her exceptional work has not gone unnoticed,” said Kevin J. Mattera’s career in public accounting spans two decades. In her current role, she focuses on providing accounting, auditing, and business advisory services to a diversified client base encompassing the manufacturing, distribution, logistics, and construction industries, as well as nonprofit entities. Mattera remains a fixture in her local community, serving as a current Board Member and past Chair of the SUNY Old Westbury School of Business Advisory Board and as a current member of the Board of Directors of the Art League of Long Island. In 2016, Andrea was honored at SUNY Old Westbury’s 50th anniversary Gala celebration as one of the University’s “50 Most Illustrious Alumni.”

“Since the early days of my career, I have always taken a keen interest in the needs of my Long Island community. I believe we each have a responsibility to give back, whether that be by volunteering for a great cause or serving on a nonprofit Board,” Mattera said. “I’m honored to have been recognized by Long Island Business News for work that I value deeply both personally and professionally.”

In addition to her civic engagement efforts, Mattera remains actively involved in the regional accountancy community. A Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York, Mattera is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA). She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the State University of New York at Old Westbury.
