Firm Also Ranked Tenth on List of 100 Best Internships Across all Industries

PKF O’Connor Davies, LLP, one of the nation’s largest accounting, tax and advisory firms, announced today its internship program is ranked number one on the Vault’s 2020 Best Accounting Internships, a ranking of the highest-rated internships among accounting firms. The Firm jumped from number eight to the top ranking this year based on a review of the internship program, ratings and interviews with current and former interns. PKF O’Connor Davies’ internship program was also ranked number 10 on Vault’s Best 100 Internships list and number three on Vault’s Best Internships for Employment Prospects.

“Our internship program has been a point of pride for the company for a long time, but to see it ranked as the very best in the accounting industry this year is particularly rewarding,” said Kevin J. Keane, Managing Partner. “Our summer and winter internship programs are a critical component of our recruiting and talent strategy. The fact that these rankings are based on reviews from actual interns demonstrates how meaningful our internship opportunities are for the impressive young professionals looking to jumpstart their careers.”

The 2020 Vault Top Internship Rankings analyzed information from more than 400 organizations and 14,000 current and former interns. Organizations provided details of the programs and interns offered comments and rated internship experiences based on factors including application process, compensation and perks, quality of life, meaningfulness of assignments and training, diversity and full-time employment prospects.

“We make it a priority to recruit the best and brightest interns and offer them a glimpse of what it’s like to work for one of the nation’s top accounting and advisory firms,” said Dawn Perri, Chief Human Resources Officer. “Our interns are partnering with our team of experts, interacting with clients and discovering parts of the accounting industry that they want to build a career out of.”
PKF O’Connor Davies offers two distinct internship programs that offer meaningful exposure to critical specialities within the accounting industry and constitute essential services offered by the Firm.

  • Winter Tax Internship – For undergraduates who want to explore a career in public accounting and secure valuable hands-on experience at the same time. Interns work directly with clients as an active member of one the Firm’s industry group teams,
assisting with tax scanning and tax return preparation. This takes place during the mid-February to mid-April tax season.

  • Summer Audit Internship – For undergraduates seeking real-world audit experience along with immersion in the Firm culture. As a team member in an industry group, interns assist in executing actual audit projects for key clients and conduct a market research project for presentation to Firm leadership. Interns build their professional networks through community service and Firm-sponsored events and undergo specialized training and collaboration with an Intern Advisor.
