PKF O’Connor Davies Ranked #10 on Vault’s 2024 Accounting 25

Additional top rankings earned across eight Quality of Life and Diversity categories

PKF O’Connor Davies, one of the nation’s largest accounting, tax and advisory practices, is proud to announce that it has been ranked #10 on Vault’s 2024 Accounting 25, a ranking of the 25 best accounting employers to work for in North America. Recognized by Vault for the past nine years, PKF O’Connor Davies moved up four places from its 2023 position to rank as a top-10 employer for the first time. PKF O’Connor Davies also earned #1 rankings across eight individual quality of life and diversity categories, in recognition of the organization’s promotion policies, supervisor relationships, formal training, leadership, ESG initiatives, racial and ethnic diversity, LGBTQ+ diversity and overall diversity.

“We know that to provide our clients with the industry-leading service they’ve come to expect, we need to create a work environment where our team can be the best version of themselves,” said Kevin J. Keane, Executive Chairman at PKF O’Connor Davies. “Our continued movement up Vault’s national rankings is one more validation of the special culture we’ve built here at PKF O’Connor Davies.”

Across the Quality of Life and Diversity categories, PKF O’Connor Davies improved its position in 20 rankings, earning a top-five spot in nearly all categories. Of note, the organization ranked #2 in twelve of those categories, including hours, vacation policies, internal mobility, client interaction, employee satisfaction, compensation, business outlook, informal training, hiring processes, wellness, culture and diversity for women. This year, PKF O’Connor Davies also achieved first-time rankings for its forensic accounting and audit and assurance accounting practice areas.

Vault’s Accounting 25 is compiled using a weighted formula that reflects the issues accounting professionals care most about, combining quality of life rankings with overall prestige. The rankings themselves are determined by the survey response of thousands of accounting professionals, who are asked a series of questions about their organization’s culture, work-life balance, compensation and training opportunities, among other criteria.

PKF O’Connor Davies continues to expand through organic growth and acquisitions on the East Coast and beyond. It has supported this growth with a strategic combination of promoting from within coupled with an ongoing focus on top-tier external hires.
