John Shillingsford has nearly 30 years of professional experience in accounting, auditing and taxation for closely held businesses.

His wide-ranging client base includes manufacturing, wholesale, distribution, professional service-based companies and employee benefit plans. John aids closely held businesses in succession planning whether by sale or transition to the next generation. He has developed a strategic M&A Databook for closely held family businesses to facilitate successful transition as well as maximizing value while preserving wealth.

John is past President of the Board of Directors for the NYSSCPA Suffolk Chapter and is past Vice President of the NYSSCPA Statewide Board of Directors.

He supports two not-for-profit organizations. He serves on the Golf Outing Committee for The Interfaith Nutritional Network that supports the homeless. He also serves on the Annual Luncheon Committee for The Outreach Project which is an organization that assists adolescents with drug and alcohol rehabilitation.
