PKF O’Connor Davies’ Joseph Ali Wins ‘2022 Young Professional in Family Wealth Award’

Partner in Firm’s Private Foundations practice recognized as top young professional under 40 shaping the family wealth industry

PKF O’Connor Davies, LLP, one of the nation’s largest accounting, tax and advisory firms, is proud to announce that Joseph Ali, a Partner in the Firm’s Private Foundations practice, is the recipient of a “2022 Young Professional in Family Wealth Award.” Presented by The Family Wealth Alliance, the award honors family wealth professionals under 40 who have demonstrated success in their careers and made significant contributions to the industry. The award is the latest in a string of industry accolades presented to members of the PKF O’Connor Davies team, demonstrating the advanced expertise and collective impact of the Firm’s 1,400-plus professionals.

“Joe is a rising star in our Firm and this well-earned recognition speaks to the tremendous impact he continues to have for our clients,” said Gemma Leddy, Partner-in-Charge of PKF O’Connor Davies Family Office. “Having already accomplished so much at a relatively young age, he is poised to achieve even greater success in the future.”

Ali brings over 15 years of public accounting experience to his role as a pivotal member of the Firm’s Private Foundations practice. He most notably has pioneered the practice area’s CFO/COO Services, coordinating back-office operations for large and mid-sized private foundations as well as private operating foundations with large infrastructure and construction projects. He is an avid lecturer and guest speaker for both Firm-sponsored education courses and for outside third parties that service the private foundation and not-for-profit sectors. He also authors and contributes to numerous monthly tax and accounting bulletins provided to the Firm’s private foundation clients. Active in his community, he is the Board Chair of Volunteer New York!, a not-for-profit organization in Westchester County, New York, former Chair of the NYSSCPA Family Office Committee and serves in an advisory capacity to other tax-exempt organizations and their boards.

“I have the honor of working with families, family offices and their foundations and this award has reaffirmed my commitment to providing clients and the philanthropic sector with the solutions they seek to achieve their goals,” Ali said.

A panel of third-party judges reviewed nominations and selected the recipients of this year’s awards. Winners were honored at an awards ceremony held during the 2022 Alliance Fall Forum, an annual family wealth industry conference that was held October 18-20, 2022, and hosted by The Family Wealth Alliance. The Alliance connects the multifamily wealth community and is the only organization focused exclusively on supporting multifamily wealth firms, including multifamily offices, external CIOs, high-end wealth management firms, trust companies, and the family office practices of private banks and law and accounting firms.
