Nick DeLena, Partner with the Firm’s Cybersecurity and Privacy Advisory practice will be a panelist in the session “Cybersecurity: Considerations for Investment Managers.” This session will cover challenges investment management firms face in preventing, detecting and responding to cybersecurity-related incidents. Topics include newly proposed cybersecurity regulations from the SEC; risk considerations for private equity firms; ways to secure virtual meetings, social engineering threats, data security and privacy regulations; and how to deploy an effective cybersecurity program.
Eric Gelb, Senior Managing Director with the Firm’s Financial Services practice will be a moderator in the session “How PE Deals Are Getting Done Today.” This session will share PE and VC deal terms and pitfalls relating to conducting due diligence. It will highlight examples of key terms and conditions in transactions, funding holdbacks, earn-outs and milestone payments, changes to valuations and purchase price adjustments and how Private Equity funds are leveraging the independent sponsor space to create opportunities and liquidity for their portfolio companies.
