PKF O’Connor Davies Named to Vault’s 2018 Best Accounting Internships and Best Internship Employee Prospects Lists

PKF O’Connor Davies, LLP, the nation’s 28th largest accounting and advisory firm, announced that it has been named to Vault’s 2018 Best Accounting Internships, a ranking of the highest-rated internships among accounting firms. The Firm debuted on the list this year at number 16. PKF O’Connor Davies, LLP, was also ranked number 23 on Vault’s 2018 Best Internships for Employment Prospects, representing the programs rated highest for the opportunity to obtain a full-time job with the organization following an internship. The internship programs received high marks for training and development, real-life experience and full-time employment prospects.

“Our internship program is a core part of our talent strategy, and our ranking on this list is a testament to the experience we provide for our interns year round,” said Kevin J. Keane, Managing Partner of PKF O’Connor Davies. “Our interns have a chance to work with Firm leaders and our clients, and we’re always eager to continue our relationship with talented individuals who are a good fit with our Firm’s strong culture.”

To compile the 2018 Vault Top Internships Rankings, Vault invited more than 400 organizations to participate in our 2017 Internship Survey and surveyed more than 12,000 current and former interns from 111 programs. Interns rated their experiences in five areas – Quality of Life, Compensation & Benefits, Interview Process, Career Development and Full-time Employment Prospects.

PKF O’Connor Davies has three distinct internship programs that cover a variety of specialties and skills in the accounting industry and play a core role in services offered by the Firm.

  • Leaders of Tomorrow Program – For undergraduates interested in growing into an influential role in accounting, this program presents the opportunity to explore the Firm, culture and career-launching benefits through skill-building workshops, networking with Firm professionals and leadership development.
  • Winter Tax Internship – For undergraduates who want to explore a career in public accounting and secure valuable hands-on experience at the same time. Interns work
directly with clients as an active member of one of industry group teams, assisting with tax scanning and tax return preparation.
  • Summer Audit Internship – For undergraduates seeking real-world audit experience along with immersion in the Firm culture. As a team member in an industry group, interns assist in executing actual audit projects for key clients and conduct a market research project for presentation to Firm leadership. Interns build their professional networks through community service and Firm-sponsored events and undergo specialized training and collaboration with an Intern Advisor.

“The fact that these lists are based on feedback from past interns makes this recognition especially rewarding,” said Dawn Perri, Chief Human Resources Officer of PKF O’Connor Davies. “We take great pride in creating experiences that mututally benefit the interns and our Firm – which frequently result in full-time employment for these talented young individuals.”
